A School of Ranting Teenagers

Turn the corner and what do you hear? Teenagers ranting about their “awful” lives, so what exactly is it that teenagers are complaining about? Homework! Teenagers don’t want to be piled up with homework. How are we supposed to live our lives with an enormous amount of homework? Many students are expected to get jobs and pay for things by themselves on top of going to school and the school work that comes with it. When are students supposed to find time to sleep? When are they supposed to find time to do anything? It’s impossible!
Students are expected to do a lot more than they can handle. With very little sleep during a school week, it is very hard to tackle everything. The hardest thing of all, though, is getting good grades. Trying to keep good grades for two semester’s is extremely hard, especially if some students are juggling school and work. Some students have to work a job for what they want, like a car, clothes, etc. and it can become a stressful roller coaster.
With summer right around the corner, students begin to stress even more about school work, because the end of the year means that finals are right around the corner and that is when the “my life is awful” phrase comes into play. School work is a competition among students, they argue over which student has more homework and which student is more stressed than the other, but yet they are both juggling a lot of different things than each other so, forget the competition because everyone has a different story behind their stress and everyone struggles in different ways.
Student’s complain a lot, especially at LHS but the best we can do is learn to block it out because it can get annoying. I understand that venting your feelings can help with your stress but also instead of venting them, try writing about it or quit complaining about it because that can also take off quite a bit of stress.
I wish everyone the best of luck with letting go of their stress and good luck with finals!
